RSS feed flows uses port 80, doesn't it ?
If not, which TCP/UDP port does it use ?
Does it function via a proxy and through a firewall ?

We make an *outbound* request from the server. So what your network does after that is up to you. From that server can use wget to test:
wget rss.degroupnews.com
ok i've tried to connect to the generation-nt.com RSS feed and also to the degroupnews.com RSS feed, but I can't get it in a new folder creation.
However, i've tried from the server console, and wget can get the files specified (rss.xml for generation-nt.com for example).
I don't understand because i've configured the proxy in the /etc/wgetrc ...
We do not use wget to fetch the feed. That was just an example to test. If you have a proxy that's not supported today. The feed manager expects a connection directly.
