Default Zimbra Calendar Keeps Disappearing

We've had a problem since we initially installed our server and has persisted through an upgrade. The problem is that after a while of having the calendar opened up in the browser (we're talking for an entire workday), all the appointments listed will disappear and won't reappear until the user refreshes the calendar. Sometimes the refresh doesn't work, and a calender will need to be unchecked and checked again to have them show. And other times neither of those two will work and the user will need to log out completely and log back in.

Now this isn't a huge issue, but it happens typically about 2-3 times a day and is a getting to be a bit of a nuisance. Most users have come to accept it by now. But in reality, it's something that shouldn't even be happening. It isn't happening to all users, but certainly a good percentage of them.

I was wondering if anyone has had this happen to them, and/or if there's a possible solution to this problem?

To date all I've been able to come up with was from a Life Hacker article suggesting to modify the Firefox config (through about:config in the url), and change the dom.max_script_run_time from 5 seconds to something higher. I've tried setting it up to 20 seconds, with no real results. It seems to maybe have lowered the instances of it occurring, but it may have just been a placebo for the users.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. Thanks.

I found that this thread here appears to be talking about the same problem that I am running into. But no one seemed to respond to it.

I had a user test to see if there was any difference between IE and Firefox with the behaviour, and apparently it's a no. Though on the otherhand we found that when it disappeared on Firefox, quickly switched over, it had disappeared from IE as well.

With that I'm going to start working with the assumption that it's due to the refresh done by the webclient checking for new mail also refreshing the calendar checking for any updates. So with that assumption, I'm going to have the user who's testing on his machine change the refresh time on his account from 5 minutes to 15 minutes and see if there's a decrease in occurrences on a daily basis.

We have the same problem. I'm able to duplicate this in IE and Firefox.

After logging in, click the calendar tab, and you can see your appointments. Next click the tasks tab and it kicks you back to a blank calendar at which point you must refresh your calendar. The next time you click on the tasks tab it seems ok.

Our users are experiencing the behaviour by leaving the calendar open for extended periods of time, not by switching to the tasks tab. But the behaviour of the calendar disappearing seems to be the same nevertheless.
