How to interact with Zimbra through programs

Hi All,

We are trying to use Zimbra as a mail server in our website. But I've the following requirement before proceeding on this:

1. I should be able to create an account in Zimbra using a script. Using this script I'll make thousands of accounts in our mail server.
2. Whenever email comes into one of these accounts, I should be able to invoke a script which will read content of the mail and store in database.

Can anyone please suggest me if it is possible and how is it possible?

You can use zmprov cli to bulk create accounts, both of your questions have already been answered in the forums and wiki - do a search for some details.

Thanks for your reply. I searched through wiki & forums as suggested by you. But I could not get the information I need. It can be because I am newbie to this Zimbra and I might not have used right keywords. Can you please provide me the the links where this kind of question is already answered. At the same time, I will make my questions much clear here:

1. I should be able to create an account in Zimbra through a program. I will use the script to create one account at a time. I want to invoke this script to create email account in Zimbra when the user log in to my website. To do this I want to check if email id is already used by any other user else create account.
2. Whenever an email comes into one of these accounts, I want to invoke a script which will read content of the script and store in database/file. Here I would like to invoke script for some accounts in zimbra but not for all accounts. Is this configuration possible?

You'll find many examples in the forums on php scripts for creating/deleting accounts, how about this for starters or this for starters or this.
