Default What I would like to see

    Hi folks,

I have been trialling Zimbra for the past couple of days and I am almost convinced that it is the solution for me.

Due to performance issues I can see me continuing to use Thunderbird as my mail client but using Zimbra as a webmail/calendar solution.

I would like to be able to setup my default view after log on as the calendar view
I would also like to be able to share and view other calendars, I see talk of this but I can not see how to do this so any pointers or simple directions to the relevant docs would be appreciated.
I am also interested in finding out more about the differences between the network version and the free version
I am confused about the AJAX client that is referred to in the download section of the web site. I have been using Firefox on Windows but I would be keen to try the AJAX client and see if performance is any better.

I will post more suggestions as I think of them. All your hard work is very much appreciated and will help with feedback after eval in any way that I can.

    Kind regards

    Jacko

Click on options 5th circle icon on the far left. Then select the calendar tab. This is where you can set you initial view.

We'll have more on this later this week.

The webclient is the AJAX client. So when your using our web access via a browser like Firefox or IE for mail, calendar, etc your using AJAX.

    Hi Kevin,

thanks for your response. I have been in to the Calendar view settings, what I meant was a default home page for when you initially log in to Zimbra. At the moment it displays the Inbox and you can then access anything you want to from there. I would like to be able to set the Calendar view as my home page for Zimbra, so that when I log in to Zimbra the first thing I see is the Calendar, not my Inbox. Is this possible or is it something for the wishlist?

Is there an announcement list I should subscribe to, to get the information on the on the shared calendaring, and network vs free version info?

    Kind regards

    Jacko

The announcement forums have the ability to subscribe.

We'll add a custom home page to the wish list.

    Hi Kevin,

I have subscribed to two threads that I started but I have not been receiving notifications. I am set to receive instant notification. Have I got something set wrong?

What I would like to see

    Not receiving internal mail

Are you sure your e-mail is correct? You should be able to see your active subscriptions here:

I'll check the logs to see if mail is working.

This something I have been asked about in our initial testing of Zimbra. Has the request progressed?
