Copy addresses

hi there,

i am using zimbra wth version 5.0.10.
is there a way to make copies from some contacts in my addressbook.
if i use the drag and drop function with pressed shift key i see a plus-sign at the
cursor, but the contac will be only move to the selected addressbook.
not copied!

if it behaves like e-mail folders, you can only copy between local <-> shared, not between local folers.

Why?

Sometimes it can be usefull to copy a contact an change some fields with new entrys.

does anyone know if this is possible or have a workaround.
What one of my managers wants to do is create a new address book for example friends and copy their details to friends while keeping his contacts book intact.

Anyone been able to do this or is there a request I can vote on

Probably not. I don't see 23027 on the 6.0 project page.

A slightly ugly workaround is to use the Export/Import tab in the preferences and edit the CSV file in between.

what is the reason that this feature can not implemented in the next version (6.xx) ?

One would have to suppose that Zimbra has a finite amount of time and resources to spend on ZCS and other bugs/enhancements have been given priority over this particular issue.
