Can messages be moved in bulk?

I have many hundreds of messages that need to be moved from the Inbox to a folder. I have searched to locate all the messages, highlighted them all so the box is checked for each, right-clicked on the highlighted group and moved the messages to the folder. Unfortunately this operation is constrained to operating on only the message on which I right-clicked. Is there a way to perform a bulk move of messages all in one operation?

Welcome to the forums,

So you can take action on lots of mail items at one time, aka 'select/apply to all results' - vote for the following RFE's:
Bug 4175 - Permit the selection of all messages in a folder
Bug 16898 - Delete messages based on a search query (like older than 1yr)
Bug 10317 - Advanced Search Actions (supercedes Filters)

Is this feature available now? Or are you telling me that this functionality does not exist yet and I should vote for the bugs to add this functionality?

Actually I just discovered the little move button in the toolbar will bulk move messages into a folder.

The move button is kinda the same as drag-drop in the AJAX client, but it doesn't move messages that's aren't in view, at least until Bug 21997 - It would be nice if checked boxes held their state. is completed.
