Question Displaying attached messages inline

Guys,

We have a mailbox used for auditing purposes that gets a copy of every message sent by our Exchange server (we're evaluating Zimbra for a switch). Each time the Exchange server sends it...something about the way it sends it makes Zimbra think it's an attachment. When I look at them in the Advanced AJAX-y client, they appear as attachments to the message. I then have to click them to open them up, and this gets to be a pain.

Interestingly, when I switch the the Standard HTML client, they display inline, just as I'd like them to.

Is there a way to force the AJAX client to do this as well?

Finally, I assume but could be completely wrong that the multi-part mime formatting is what's causing this to be viewed as an attachment. Is this true?

Thanks!
jbwiv

Default inline immages still an issue in 5.0.10

Hey guys -
Just an FYI - the issue is still there in zcs-5.0.10_GA_2638.F7.20081003060853

and exactly like mentioned earlier - if you switch to the HTML client - the images are fine.

PS: in 5.0.9&10 the mail msg shows attachments in the msg list - but does not show the pics are attachments in the mesg display header.

Also it look dependent on the mail cleint that the msg was created with - AOL messages show the problem clearly - as do other clients

I can sent some examples if needed...

thx

You may wish to vote for Bug 30260 - Inline attachments sent from Apple Mail do not display using ZCS Ajax client as it appears to be a very similar problem.
