Attaching files from Briefcase to Emails and Calendar dates

I'm pretty astounded, that it is not possible to attach a file which I have previously uploaded to the Briefcase to an email I'm writing with Zimbra or a Calendar date. Right now I have to download the file to my desktop and attach it as an upload to my email. OpenXchange already has this possibility.

-Send link(s) [this is what exists today]
-Send as attachment(s)

(& the same for multi-file selections)
