Default Move emails from one folder to another

Is there a quick way to move 1,000+ emails from one folder to another?

Instead of having to check 100 emails at a time, and move/drag/drop them to a folder?

I'm guessing there is a command line for this perhaps?

There is a method I used which worked pretty well. Use thunderbird and connect to the account using IMAP. You can select a 1000+ at a time and drag them. I moved over 6000 emails in just a couple minutes this way.

TB is very useful for many tasks like this. You can even move/copy stuff between folders in different accounts so it can be used for migration/import/export. Use a portable build (such as Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition | PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB drives) and you'll not even have to do a proper install (I have a bunch of such portable apps on a USB stick that I always carry with me).
