Default ARF - AOL etc.

Greetings.

I'm reading an email from AOL telling me that I need an ARF (Abuse Reporting Format) parser in my email client to be able to read emails they send to our abuse@DOMAIN addresses. I'm not familiar with ARF

Does anyone have experience with this on Zimbra? Does Zimbra parse ARF or is there a zimlet available/pending that will handle this?

would be a nice zimlet project indeed.

try to right click on the e-mail and select "show original" and see if the information is contained in therer.

It seems the "show original" shows everything one would need to see... I'm not sure what an ARF parser is supposed to do differently than that.

it's mroe for people who have automated systems to deal with abuse complaints, typically those that deal in high volume. a standard abuse format makes it easy to run scripts on.

i think theres a parser for linux that could probably be integrated by soemone who knows more than i do about zimbra

Thanks. you know. We really need a completely new way for servers to communicate email between them. I see over 6 million messages rejected for spam on just one of our email gateway servers every month. It can truly be a nightmare to provide customers with mostly clean mail without false positives. It's ridiculous!
