Default [SOLVED] Lightning dav support a bit broken

Hi All,

I have set up a second zimbra OS server, this one for a client.
On the first zimbra server (5.09 debian) I have my thunderbird client
2.0.0.16 with lightning 0.8. Everything is great! I can create/delete/edit/dismiss calender entries no problems.

On the new install, I have issues.
In lightning..
Cannot dismiss event notifications. There was a bug in 5.08 which was fixed in 5.09. But it doesnt work on this case.
Cannot edit existing events.
Cannot delete existing events.

From My laptop, which works fine with my first zimbra install, I connected to the second zimbra server and had the bad results, so I am reasonably confident it is a zimbra issue, but dont know where to look.

Both servers were initially installed as 5.08 and upgraded to 5.09.

thanks in advance.

b

Default just checked installed modules

theres been no obvious change in the versions of installed prerequisites

apt-get install libltdl3 openssl libstdc++6 libxml2 libgmp3c2 fetchmail libidn11 sudo build-essential ca-certificates curl libcurl3 libexpat1anacron ssh ntp

the versions are the same on both the working and non working systems.

Default well I found the answer....

on the servers I did a web-browse of what I presume to call the dav repository

eg

http://mailserver1/dav/brian@mydomain/Calendar

http://mailserver2/dav/michael@hisdomain/Calendar

after logged in to both servers, i pasted the respective pages into this awsome diff tool.

jsdifflib - A Javascript Visual Diff Tool & Library | Snowtide Informatics

and I found that the interesting difference was

for my server...

<principal-URL>/dav/brian%40mydomain/Calendar/</principal-URL>

for his server

<principal-URL>/dav/michael/Calendar/</principal-URL>

note the lack of domain at the end of his name.

so i connect to calendar with lightning like this

on the network/caldav/

location
http://mailserver2/dav/michael/Calendar

and it worked ok.

hurrah!
