Default Calendar Notifications are Extremely Late

OK, WTH is with the calendar notifications? Sorry for the harsh acronyms, but why are things coming up days, weeks, or even months late? Why do I not get ANY updates on time?

What is needed to make the Zimbra Calendar functions work?

They recurring events?
This one was fixed in 5.0.9: Bug 28598 - appointment reminder showing wrong alert at wrong time
Are they set only with the ZWC or ZCO/iSync/CalDAV etc?

Recurring yes.

Most were imported from Outlook I think.

Yup, I'll do the 5.0.9 update this weekend one way or the other I think.

Added bit of info. I tried two appointments and both worked.

One I set last week which was a meeting invite sent to me and I accepted. That worked fine.

The other I set up manually and it also worked.

But the catch is I have checked with a few users and I am hearing that not all work all the time. Neither of the two I set were recurring, but the specific user I talked to is using ZWC advanced alot and has seen both rucurring and single appointments not notify.
