Welcome to the forums,

Preferences > Mail > Recieving Messages (sound, highlight, browser title flash)
Same goes for Calendar & IM.

I know this is a bit old but I could not see a reason to start a new thread. Is there a way to turn this feature on for users by using the Admin console? I looked in the CoS and the Global settings but I could not find a the appropriate spot to make the change. I would like to make the title bar flash for users site wide when they receive new mail.

Bah! This should have been posted under the Admin area. I found this thread via search. Please move if needed.

Not at the moment (welcome to file an RFE to expose it in the admin console) but you can with SOAP/JAVA/CLI.

Example:
zmprov mc COSname zimbraPrefIMFlashIcon TRUE

Repeat for:
zimbraPrefIMFlashTitle
zimbraPrefIMSoundsEnabled
zimbraPrefMailFlashIcon
zimbraPrefMailFlashTitle
zimbraPrefMailSoundsEnabled
zimbraPrefCalendarReminderFlashTitle
zimbraPrefCalendarReminderSoundsEnabled

(If they're already modified these settings individually it will no longer inherit from the COS until nulled out by "".)

This worked very nicely. Thanks!
Now, where can we find more of this kind of good stuff for administrators?

...and Mike, perhaps you know where the sound file is that is used for mail notification? I'd like to be able to change it so it's more noticeable, if possible. I posted this elsewhere but have received no reply.
Thanks!

/opt/zimbra/mailboxd/webapps/zimbra/public/sounds/im
alert.wav & notify.wav

(Though it's the im folder, alert.wav is used in new mail notices as well.)
Make sure it's owned by zimbra.zimbra (I did not need a zmmailboxdctl restart but if it doesnt work try that first, along with clearing browser cache of course).
