Default E-mail reply prefix

When replying to a message, the original text prefix isn't added if the user has HTML-format set as default in his settings. The reply header is also different from what you get with plain text format.
Shouldn't the prefix be added also when using HTML?

And can someone please explain what 'Smart Include' is..?

Smart include tries to only include the last part of the message not the entire thread. If you feel there is a bug please file it in bugzilla. I've also noticed some problems with prefix in HTML email. If you have a reproducible test case please file it.

FWIW, in the next release, "Smart Include" has been renamed to "Include Last Message Only"

Although this is an old thread, we are still seeing a lot of problems with prefixes in HTML composed forward/reply. So I filed a bug: Bug 39508 – prefix issues in html reply/forward
