Angry [SOLVED] How do you Customize Interface

I will try not to whine - but my internet provider changed their webmail to Zimbra because it is easier for THEM to administrate. It offers many features and I don't need any of them. It is hard to read because the columns are not customizable and I can only see the first part of the first name of
the sender and it will not adjust in the usual ways. None of the columns can be deleted. I don't need flags and tags or to know that all the email in the Inbox is in the Inbox folder or how big it is. Highlighting the unread is enough to notify me that I have not read it.

It also times me out all the time and I have to type in my password because FireFox refuses to remember me on my computer. I am on an Intel Mac running Leopard and using Firefox. Changing providers is mind boggling, and there is
no insurance against other providers going all Zimbra/Outlookie on me.

Is there any help for we simple people who just want to read our e-mail, reply and sometimes Attach? Don't need calendar. Don't need Contact manager, don't need alarms or alerts, ....did that sound like whining?

The column for the name of the sender can be adjust in the usual way as for some other columns, you just have to be precise with your mouse pointer .

That's pretty normal.

Maybe a customization of your internet provider. Zimbra doesn't do this usualy.

Look at your firefox configuration. I don't think the problem come from zimbra.

If you want less functionnality, you can use the html client instead of the ajax client : you should be able to choose it on the login page (if not changed by your internet provider).

All that can be disable by administrators (flags and tags too).
Try to send a mail to your administrators (if you can) to ask them to modify your account.

I will try the administrator letter - Technical support at my provider did not help. Most of them did not know how to use Zimbra yet. The changeover triplicated all mail I ever got, and disabled my mailbox with the tonnage. All had to be deleted -

Anyway - the columns will not resize. The mouse seems to take hold and move it, but when I release it pops back. I've updated my fireforx, and talked to them, but I still cannot see who the e-mails are from. My configurations are correct for passwords. All my other log-ins are one click , but this one keeps forgetting the password, so I must remember it- for 5 accounts. Very annoying.

I was not aware that you could disable things for one customer and not for everyone, I will give that a try. Would that be the website administrator? I have been with this provider for 10 years and this is my first complaint. Phenomenal, really.

I don't know what they used before but zimbra have lot of features to migrate your data of the ancient webmail to zimbra.

I tested with a version 5.0.8 and it seems there is a problem about this. It worked when I changed the column little by little.

Well if your passwords are not saved in firefox, I don't think it have anything to do with zimbra anyway. (Works perfectly for me). Try to check tools -> options -> security -> password -> exceptions.

There is general configuration (class of services) but each account can also have a personnalized configuration.
Who you need to contact, that I can't know but if you have technical support they should be aware of the zimbra administrator, no?

I just tried the same With firefox 3 and zimbra 5.0.8 (well I think its 5.0.8 Im using) and had exactly the same thing, it works if you resize it a little but if you try to drag it to far it won't do it, Wander if its trying to be smart and stop people from dragging on accident and creating a stupidly large coloum (possible to do with a laptop touchpad that's set to tap to click)

Default I solved the problem

I moved to gmail. -

Information overload is nothing compared to functionality overload.....and you may quote me.

What to do with all that unused "functionality"? Stuff it under the gmail cover.
