Freeze option "include shared items" ?

Hi,

I found that the "include shared items" option on the search bar keeps turning itself off if the calendar tab is chosen

-Click on Address tab and enable option
-click on Mail tab > option is still activated
-click on Calendar tab > option is cleared (and disabled)
-Click on Address tab > option is cleared

is there an admin method I can freeze the setting for contacts (most important)?
