Default [SOLVED] Share folder through GUI without sending acceptance mail

Hi there,

I'm looking for how to share folders with a fellow on Zimbra without having to send explicit acceptance mail to him through the GUI.

I know it's possible from CLI to grant permissions on folders to users. But can i finish my folder sharing through GUI and decide not to send explicit acceptance to my collabs??

many thanks in advance!

You can choose not to send the accept/decline email when you create the share in the gui.

But the problem is when i decide not to send such email notification, there is no shared folder at the other end (my collab can't see the shared folder). What to do pls?
Thanks!

the person who is being given access to the share would need to manually add the shared folder to their list by right clicking at the top of the folder list and doing "Link to shared folder" if you do not send a e-mail notification.

If you are asking if you can share a folder with a person, have it not send an e-mail notification, and automatically be mounted in their folder list then no that is not possible

Hardly surpsising as they won't know it's there unless you send the notification. As bdial said, there's no way to automatically mount the share in another users mailbox/calendar without the notification email. I don't really understand why you don't want the notification message sent.

Many thanks to all of you.
The "link to folder" is working perfectly!
