given:
alias1@domain.com is an alias for
user1@domain.com
when someone sends an email to
alias1@domain.com,
user1@domain.com will receive the email in their inbox, and the 'to:' field will show that the email is
alias1@domain.com. (the expected / desired behavior)
however sharing and chatting do not preserve this behavior, for example:
user2 shares something with
alias1@domain.com, but when looking at the shared account user2 now sees that it is shared with
user1@domain.com instead (the alias was rewritten by zimbra somewhere down the line)
the same thing happens with chatting. if user2 adds
alias@domain.com, eventually
user1@domain.com will show up in the buddy list instead of
alias@domain.com
am i missing an option somewhere to turn off this forceful rewriting of aliases, or can this be considered a bug that is worth considering?
