given: email@example.com is an alias for firstname.lastname@example.org
when someone sends an email to email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org will receive the email in their inbox, and the 'to:' field will show that the email is email@example.com. (the expected / desired behavior)
however sharing and chatting do not preserve this behavior, for example:
user2 shares something with firstname.lastname@example.org, but when looking at the shared account user2 now sees that it is shared with email@example.com instead (the alias was rewritten by zimbra somewhere down the line)
the same thing happens with chatting. if user2 adds firstname.lastname@example.org, eventually email@example.com will show up in the buddy list instead of firstname.lastname@example.org
am i missing an option somewhere to turn off this forceful rewriting of aliases, or can this be considered a bug that is worth considering?
