Default Hosted Demo Account & LDAP

Hi forum users,
I'm completely new to Zimbra world. I subscribed for a Demo Account and trying to access its internal LDAP server to view the shared address book. To configure the client I'm referring to this wiki page: Mail Client LDAP Configuration - Zimbra :: Wiki
Can't get any reply from the LDAP server. Is it available on the Demo Account? Now I'm experimenting with Outlook Express client, but I plan to test also Evolution and MS Outlook later.

TIA

Is there any Error Messages that are being thrown when you try and set this up or does it seem to just hang? If you have any error messages can you please post them. Thanks

Outlook Express is simply saying it cannot connect to the given directory service. I don't know how to get more detailed logs.

By the way, I scanned port 389 and it results open but filtered: can anybody confirm that Demo Accounts come with LDAP server running and listening and that configurations for clients listed in Mail Client LDAP Configuration - Zimbra :: Wiki are the correct ones?

I am also going to assume that your service provider does not allow access to their internal GAL I would verify with them and see if they allow access or not. I know our systems we do not allow access to our Internal GAL because that would open up and you would be able to see all users on the system.
Hope this helps

Nope. We don't open LDAP on the hosted demo. Opening 389 to the world is a very large security risk. You can gain access to it by downloading the connectors. The link is in the welcome email.
