Default [SOLVED] external email account

This hopefully is an easy question...

I have an external email account working all good.
But when I send an email from the external account, it uses the primary email account address. Otherwise the from is the primary email account.
So when people reply it goes to my primary account not the external account.

How would I fix this?

By default you can only send from your account & any aliases.

If using external account aggregation either check 'allow sending from any address' or feed in a specific list:

Then visit the preferences tab > account tab of the user web-client to adjust or type in the appropriate values for the external account or persona.

Hmmm..... made no difference...

In the "From:Choose the name that appears in the "From" field of email messages" the only the primary email account is listed.

Isn't there a help or how to for this type of setup?
Seams many of things I ask, there should be...

Which one 'allow all' or 'allow list'?
Allow all unlocks it so it can type in another address (the field changes from drop down to drop down/editable)
What version are you running? http://www.zimbra.com/forums/announc...html#post62754
Is this an new external account that won't modify or just editing existing external account?

Realized it's confusing (talking about the method, not the blank being editable vs fixed which we could probably skin differently to make it more noticeable/friendly) please vote for this RFE which I just created: Bug 29974 - external account aggregation address verification

Default Error with accounts

I followed the above instructions and now my IMAP accounts are getting the following error:
Quote:
Error: Generic Test Failure
Note: If you continue to save, account will be marked inactive.
Press Cancel to return to editing accounts.
I can't change any settings in the Preference -> Accounts with this error. Could someone help me out?
