Default Multiple zimbra email accounts, one inbox.

I'm trying to figure out a way to get multiple email accounts to one inbox.
For example:
joeshmo@domain.com
and
officeemail@domain.com

joeshmo@domain is the primary email account
and when I'm logged in via the web client.
I want officeemail@domain.com to also download into the same inbox.
Currently, I would have to loggin separately into each zimbra account, which would be a pain.

I would like to be able to sedn email too from both accounts.

Please advise.

Thanks!

PS - I think I posted this in the wrong section. Cause this is for the web client, NOT the zimbra desktop. I'm not sure where it belongs...

If it were not for the current alias/persona bug Bug 29658 – persona email address not used the easiest way would be to
  1. add the second account as an alias for the first
  2. create a persona for sending from the second address.
Until the bug mentioned above is fixed, you need a slightly less efficient method:
  1. Create an account for address2
  2. Set that account to forward to address1, and make sure it is not set to keep a copy of forwarded mail in address2's Inbox
  3. Create a persona as usual

If you're just going to have all the email sent to one inbox, do you need two separate accounts? You could simply have an alias on your one account, and use the multiple personas to send from the different email addresses.

If personas were working as I expected, yes.

But one of my users found that sending via a persona set the "from" and "reply to" to her main account address when the persona's address was set as an alias for her account - hence setting up a second account and forwarding as a work around.

I just created a persona on my account. When I sent an email, and selected that persona (an alias on the account) the email I rcvd had the proper name I entered, 'from' address, and no 'reply to' (since I didn't set one).

They're working fine for me. If you're having an issue then we might want to investigate farther.

OK, I created the forward, and email filter to dump the emails into a separate folder...However, no emails from the other account are being received...?

Ok, I just created a mail filter to forward the email to the other account, and that worked.

I will setup some dummy accounts on a spare domain later, to try replicate the issue from a more standing start, and pass on the results.
