Shared contacts via LDAP / New mail auto complete

I have a relatively new install of Zimbra, we cut over from Exchange and it is working great! With that said, there are a few things I would like to do, if they're possible.

Is there any way to have the autocomplete in the To: field search a shared address book, in addition to GAL/emailed contacts, when composing a new message?

I am able to connect to the GAL via LDAP from outlook, but is it possible to use a specific users address book? I set up a contacts@ account and imported our client list from outlook into a new address book, then shared it with all my users. I would love to be able to search it via ldap from Outlook.

No, it won't. RFEs aren't backported.
