Default Zimbra vs Google Docs (Feature Inquiry)

So, everyone loves google docs, right? Personally I think it's a great thing, but I'm not so sure I wish to continue to entrusting a free service with our almost-mission-critical communications spreadsheets. (We are using Google for your domain, but still, it is off site and the boss doesn't entirely like that idea.) I've been toying with Zimbra's Documents feature but it doesn't have all the ease of use or quite the realtime sharing abilities of Google Docs. And most importantly, It will not import a sheet from Excel, and recreation of these things is something my team is not quite willing to do yet.

So, my question is, are there any plans or inklings of ideas of perhaps fleshing out Documents to be a contender against Google Docs? It looks like it is heading in that direction, but perhaps everyone is busy making the rest of Zimbra great first; and that's wonderful. But It would be nice to know if this was a option in the future. Microsoft is looking to go up against Google, and I know they've been eying Yahoo like a piece of candy... so just maybe...

If you plan on using the spreadsheet feature vote for bug 27820. The formatting feature of the spreadsheet has a bug. It is a show stopper for me. It is the only bug I ran across but since I hit the bug I haven't proceeded with anymore projects.

The network edition includes convertd, there's an import button in the toolbar that can handle .xls files (and though it doesn't specifically state so it can handle .xlsx on newer ZCS versions):

(zimbraFeatureViewInHtmlEnabled has to be set to TRUE on COS or user)

There's all sorts of plans in bugzilla
-Stuff on exporting, opening files from the briefcase in documents, to the one you've mentioned Bug 28433 - Real time collaboration (multi-user editing) for documents

What we need is the import feature on the Open source version.

Thanks,
