Default Calendar

I'm trying with Calendar too... When I right click on the header, I can link to a shared calendar. Are you suggesting that the process is.

1. User A creates share and sends notification.
2. User B receives Notification and can't Accept
3. User B emails user A and requests URL/path to share
4. User A, Trys to reshare, but copys and pastes URL / Folder info instead
5. User A creates new email to user B with Absolute URL and share info
6. User B receives email with new location and copies the URL / path.
7. User B Right clicks, Calendar Header, enters information (correctly) and gains access to share.

As apposed to .

1. User A Shares Calendar and designates user B
2. User B receives notification and accepts.

Seems a little complicated to me. I'd rather my users could just hit Accept. My support time just tripled if this is the case...

Cool Thanks for the temporary fix

Bill, forgot to say thanks for the temporary fix. I've got my customers sharing and it even managed to turn up in the ZCO. But I'm hoping this will be resolved as it just isn't user friendly.

Update.

It seems to only be within the Ajax Client. I can view the info when in the HTML client.

What version are you running? http://www.zimbra.com/forums/announc...html#post62754 so we don't always have to ask

I see you updated to 5.0.8 in another thread, have you been able to see accept buttons in the ZWC now?

Any new thoughts on this? I have a situation where one user, and there may be a few more who just haven't brought this up yet, receives calendar shares that don't have the "accept" or "decline" button.

As suggested above, switching to the standard client and opening the share e-mail reveals an accept button. I assume that ignoring or deleting the e-mail is a decline.

The environment is Mac OS 10.4.x. Firefox 3.x. ZCS Network Edition 5.0.9 (the problem carried over from 5.0.8).

I too am unclear how to do the "manually accepting share" method mentioned above.

Thanks.

We're experiencing this same behavior a year after the original thread discussion with the Desktop client 1.0 (build 1593)

Clicking 'Accept' in a standard share notification adds the share, but it doesn't function according to the permissions granted. For example Edit | Delete | History buttons don't work in a Document / Notebook.

Shares added manually do work properly : Right-click header bar and 'Link to Shared Notebook.'

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Desktop :
1.0 (build 1593) Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072406 Prism (zdesktop/1.0)

Server :
zmcontrol -v
Release 5.0.16_GA_2921.RHEL5_20090429092842 RHEL5 NETWORK edition

I just tested and I see the same behavior with ZCS 5.0.18 on the web client.

This doesn't help for me.

Likewise.

I also just ran into this bug: Bug 35992 - Shared documents linked with wysiwyg editor use incorrect URL
