Mailbox shared: read history. New message notify

We are thinking about migrate from Lotus Domino to zimbra, and we are testing this way. We have 2 big problem:

1) when we share a mail folder we cannot get the history of the users read the message so we cannot rebuilding a case history of a massage.

2) If We use web broswser like client,can zimbra advice when a new message arrived (something similar Microsoft Outlook)? is ZimbraCheck a solution?
