Exclamation oops, where did my appointment go?

There is a bug in the calendar. When you create a new appointment in August, the appointment is placed in December!

To replicate this: create a new appointment at some date/time in August 2006. When you save the appointment it doesn't show up in august, but at the same day/time in December 2006.

It shows correctly if I create an appointment in August, was that for any day/time (or a specific day/date time) in August that you had the problem? Which version of Zimbra/Browser/Operating System are you using?

This has been tested with Firefox 1.5 on FC4 (client) and WindowsNT with IE6. Both Client configurations give the same problem.

I tested and tested this and I could not replicate this. I am running FC4 "clean box" (nothing else running but Zimbra). Firefox 1.5.0.1.

Do you also have this problem? Which version of Zimbra is this? Is it the current GA release?

I can't duplicate this at all on my CentOS 4.2 using FF 1.5.0.1 or IE6 on WIN2K3.

Yes, server is zcs-3.0.0_GA_156 on RHEL 4
This is a real showstopper

No, I'm afraid I can't duplicate this at all. I seem to have tried every date/time combination I could think of, I even changed the timezone to Paris (I normally have all my systems at GMT) but nothing seems to cause it to fail. I guess we'll have to wait for one of the Zimbra guys to help, I can't think of anything else to suggest.

Lightbulb found how to replicate this bug

Client OS: Windows XP sp2 English edition & IE6

go to "Control Panel" -> "Regional and language Options"
in "Standards and formats" select "Dutch (Belgium)" -> Apply -> OK
start IE6
http://your.zimbra.url
login
press "Ctrl + r" (refresh) !!!!!!! you must do this to replicate
go to the calendar
select "Month" view
go to "August"
right click on a day -> "New Appointment"
fill in the "subject" -> click "Save".

Now you will see that there is no appointment for that day, go to "December" and you can see the appointment at the same day and time.

open the debug pop up by entering "$set:debug 3" into the search bar. then set the appointment. some communication between the browser and the server will show in the pop up. copy everything in there and post it or pm it to me.
