Appointment save as draft (before sending invitations)

One of my users asked me if it was possible to save appointment as draft, without sending invitations to invitees (so that she can go to message view and finally return back to calendar view in order to finish the creation of the appointmen).
Another solution would be to enable creation of a detailed appointment in a new window (as it exists for messages and conversations with the icon attached to this thread).

I found no information on the forum so, I'm going to create a bug in bugzilla.
Please vote for this bug as many chief assistants need a solution ...

A bug already exists in bugzilla (#7325).

You also can vote for the bug #15120 in order to implement the ability to save as template any appointment creation, so that you can re use a previous template for future appointment creations.
