Default Possible upgrades in future version?

Hi,

Just wondering whether will this be in the pipeline:-
1. Location/Resource scheduling. Bookings of meeting place.
2. In the Message Preview pane, if we have a large list of people in the To: list, the whole message gets into a thin line. Any possible way of making the To: portion to be collapsable? So that there is a minimum space for the message preview?
3. Sharing calendar and inviting people to join meetings within the domain should be easy and should not allow the person to think about the invitee's email address. They should get a list of people in the domain which they can invite. Is there a change in this?
4. Sharing a single calendar to all domain users. Hope this is in the roadmap.

So far Zimbra is great and I have been recommendating it to a lot of people.

1) Yes. It's planned.
2) In the next release the header will scroll with the message so this can be avoided.
3) Doesn't auto-complete work for you? It should make it easy if they are in your contacts.
4) It's been requested before, no date for this yet.

Hi,

For point 3, the autocomplete are the "collected" contacts only. But not the ones created by the system. Anyway to make it auto-completing the contacts created in the system? Even when composing the auto-complete only apply to "collected" contacts but not the contacts in the system.

Am i missing some settings?

Cheers,

adrian

It should work for contacts that are in your address book, both self created and collected. In the future we'll look at adding support for GAL addresses.

Hi,

But I am not kidding you. It is not working for the users created in the domain. It did not auto-complete. Only for people who I have sent emails to or in my contact list came out. To send to local users, I have to click on the TO: and get the list of people.

Am I missing out a setting? BTW, i am using the open source version.

Thanks.

Yes I think we are missing each other. If a user is just created in the domain they are part of the GAL (Global Address List) and this will not auto-complete. If they are stored in your contacts or you've sent/recieved mail from a person it will auto-complete. It wouldn't be very performant for us to try and cache/autocomplete the entire GAL since for many companies domains this list is quite large. It's something others have asked for as well and we'll see if we can get it added.
