Question [SOLVED] Alerts In Calendar - Win32

I've got a user (Boss ... ) asking me how he can have his calendar pop-up to remind him of appointments throughout the day. I use my calendar but as I looked I remembered that it only seemed to pop-up when I frst logged in, not continually during the day. I find nothing in the setting that allows me to set a calendar allert either. Now there are a couple of possiblities:

1) the function doesn't exist and there is an enhancement request out there (#8854 or ???)

2) I'm blind & need to be pointed in the correct direction. (I **AM** an Umpire so this IS a distinct possiblity ... ) I don't see any instructions for such a function in the Wiki or in the Doc or in the Forums (Except in the enhancements)

3) I forget what choice 3 was - I got interrupted ..... Oh - Now I remember - We are using the Network Eval edition and the possibility exists that the tool only exists in a paid version.

Now If anybody can let me know where that function is I'd be happy to let my user know. Not to mention use the tool myself ..... And if it's a paid version I'll let the buyer know where to write the check ........ I think the powers-that-be really plan on continuing use of the product .....

Thanks Skip

I'm interpreting from your post that you are talking about calendar reminders with the Zimbra Web Client, not the Outlook Connector. I'm a FOSS user, so I'm not 100% sure, but I would think with the reminders are controlled though Outlook when using the Connector. As far as the Web Client, this is a known "issue". The way it works now is reminders will only pop-up on your browser screen, which really doesn't do much good. See this thread for further discussion on the subject. Scroll down to "mmorse" post from 2/20/08 where he gives links to all the open "bugs" related to the problem, including audible alerts, the Toaster handling this function, etc. Remember to vote for these bugs to help get these features in an future release.
