Default Problems Selecting Text with ZWC - IE Only

I pretty much always use Firefox with the ZWC and I've never seen this issue, but I'm posting on behalf of my many IE users. When in the "Compose Message" window, whether typing a new message or replying to a message, it sometimes does not allow you to select any text. Let's say I am typing a new message and a type a sentence but decide it's worded wrong, or I just don't need it, or whatever. Click at the beginning of the sentence and then trying to drag the mouse over the text to select it, but nothing happens. A couple of users have shown me examples of this issue, and I've just been testing with IE and had it happen to me. I thought it was an HTML-mode vs Text-mode issue, but that does not appear to be the case; it just happened to me while in Text mode. Note, this issue doesn't happen all the time, and at least at this point I haven't figure out what triggers it.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

I've experienced lots of problems with IE6. From not finishing loading to not letting me type in the message box on new e-mails. I haven't experienced these problems in IE7 or Firefox. SSL mode seems to be the only thing affected. Non-ssl seems to work ok.

There's no question that IE6 handles SSL improperly. I posted a bug, 24378, but am still waiting on possible resolution.

Thanks Bill. I should have been more specific; this is IE 7 where we are seeing the problem. We moved away from IE 6 long ago (well, in computer terms anyway - about a year ago is when we made the switch), specifically because of problems we were having with the Zimbra Web Client. Also, we are in mixed mode, and I know that at least when I had the problem earlier today I was running via http, not https.

IE6 will let me select then copy, paste, etc. IE7 will let me select but not perform any of the editing tasks. And of course, Firefox works great.

We've seen the same issue as Bill: with IE7 only we can select text in an email we're composing, but the right-click menu doesn't have the option to copy/cut/paste. We think it started with 5.0.4.
