I'm not familiar with Lotus Notes, but here is the method I've recommended to my users for "email templates". Create a new message with the wording you want in your template and then send it to yourself. Then create a folder called Templates or something meaningful to you (this step isn't necessary, but it will make it easier to find the "template" later, when you want to send again). Now go to your Sent folder, find the "template" message that you just sent to yourself and move it to the "Templates" folder. When you want to send this message to someone else go to the Templates folder, select your message, right-click on your name and then select "Edit" from the context menu. (Note that you have to right-click on the From column or you won't get the "Edit" option in the context menu.) When you select this "Edit" option it will open the message and allow you to change the To: field, adjust the text in the body of the message, etc. When you are done editing you can send the message. It leaves your original message intact in the Templates folder and sends out a new message. |
