Default ZimbraNotify (aka: toaster wannabe)

ZimbraCheck is a small application derived from Owen Marshall checkgmail, checkgmail.sf.net.

ZimbraCheck works as an icon in the system tray, checking and notifying about new emails. The information is accessed through ATOM feeds.

ZimbraCheck is written in Perl, when you run it from the command line it would tell you the modules it need to work ok and how to get it.

This is the first and last version of this software, now im go to work on a SOAP based version. This way the software could do much more like:

* Fast "Mark As" Messages,
* Appoiments notifications,
* Quick Contact Search,
* etc.

Nice job. Worth the effort to get a few more Perl modules loaded.

Great stuff.

Say, does it work for external POP/IMAP accounts?

If you have Zimbra setup for retrieve email from POP/IMAPS accounts and this are stored in your INBOX, you will notify.

Next version of this would let you select Folders and Tags also.

Hi.

I would recommend a name change in the gallery & wiki since it is somewhat misleading there after your name change, and i would also add the download link to the gallery, as it is now folks need to find this forum before they can download your app directly there.

Me being one of those.
