Default Email filter bug

Hello,

I'm using zcs-NETWORK-3.0.0_M4_62.RHEL4 from FireFox 1.5. If I create a filter with actions "tag the message" and then "file the message in a folder", the filter works ok. On the other hand, if I create a filter that first "files the message in a folder" then "tags the message", I get two copies of the message. One is tagged but in the Inbox (shouldn't be there) and the other is not tagged but is in the correct folder. If you can't replicate, please let me know what I should upload. Thanks.

Richard

I created two filters like you described and both worked correctly. Can you take a screen shot of your two filter dialogs? Just to make sure my filters are the same. We are running a slightly newer build but not sure anything has changed there.

I've attached images of the two filters. OK works as expected. Test results in two copies of the message, one tagged in the Inbox and one not tagged in the specified folder. I get similar results when marking messages as "read": before "filing" works; after filing not.

A couple of more issues with filters.

If you choose a field such as "To" as part of a condition, at some point it gets changed to "Header Named" with argument "To". No big deal, just surprising. It suggests the interface should be changed so that one always sees "Header Named"

More serious, if you change the name of a folder, any filters filing to that folder no longer work. The action stills says "file into folder", but the argument is blank (or rather there is a Browse button).

Equally serious, if you move a folder (say from the top level down to under another folder), any "file into folder" actions lose their arguments, as above. Further, it seems that after a while, zimbra recreates the folder that you had moved back in the original location??? In a couple of cases now, I have three folders with the same name: one in Trash, one at the top level, and one under another folder. I only created one of those! Note I said "seems" above, because I haven't been able to reproduce the conditions to make it happen again, although it did occur for three different folders.

Can you replicate any of these occurences?

Richard
