Default tags in shared folders

Hi,
does it works? I think not now in 5.0. Or am I wrong?

Tags work on shared folders. *HOWEVER*, you have to create the tags in the account that shared the folder, *AND* in all the accounts that have shared the folder, *AND* it has to be in the same order across all those accounts.

Tags are stored by number, not name/colour. When you tag a message in a shared folder, the tag number is sent and attached to the message. What that number corresponds to depends on who is viewing the tag.

There are a couple of bugs/rfes filed for this issue, and it will hopefully be fixed in a future version.

I can set it up like this, but I don't know if is good idea to use it this way. I'm bit afraid if future release of zimbra could broke this?

Yeah, for now I'd avoid tagging things in shared folders.

We've been using it with our shared helpdesk folder for the past two months without problems. The only issue is that you lose any attached tags on messages when you move the message into the shared folder.

We're definitely waiting for a future release where global tags or exportable tags or shared tags are implemented, before we really start using shared folders and tagging messages.

we really need this feature. However, as of 6.04, I can't seem to view tags even when created the same tags and in the same order for all accounts that shared the folder, let alone adding tags. Is there any workaround known?

We've got the exact same problem since upgrading to Zimbra NE 6.0.4 last night. I guess it's a new problem. We didn't have this problem in 6.0.2 (we skipped 6.0.3). I can't find anything about this in the release notes. Our sales department uses these tags extensively in their shared mailbox.
