Default View as html doesn't work

We've just upgraded our Zimbra test installation from 5.0.0 FOSS to 5.0.1 NE; and we can't view attachments as html. Actually, only viewing of txt files work. All other allegedly supported formats tested show a download window and the file is downloaded.

Formats tested:
- .doc
- .xls
- .pdf
- .txt (the only one that worked)

HTML preview is activated in the default COS for all users, and they all have the same issue.

Did we miss something when we upgraded?

BTW, we upgraded through this path:
- 5.0.0 FOSS => 5.0.0 NE
- 5.0.0 NE => 5.0.1 NE
no testing have been done during 5.0.0 NE, and it's NOT a production environment, yet.

TIA.

We finally could fix this issue by uninstalling Zimbra; and cleanly reinstalling it. With all the backups and such; took less than 45 minutes.

I have this same issue after going from 5.0.0 FOSS to 5.0.2 NE. Is there a solution other than uninstalling Zimbra? Thanks.

I'd say not to uninstall and just try upgrading to 5.0.4 over your 5.0.2 NE - or have you you already opened a support case on not being able to get convertd's view as 'html to show' in the UI?

I intend to upgrade to 5.0.4 soon; I like to wait for a week or two before upgrading to the latest release (exactly for the reason demonstrated by 5.0.3!). I will post an update here as soon as I am able to test this bug with .4, and will open a ticket if it still doesn't work.

Thanks for the reply.

Cool sounds like a plan.
-I was trying to recreate the FOSS > NE link missing but couldn't.
-Though not prevented/required, it's much easier for our troubleshooting purposes if you go from FOSS > NE and use the same version when you do.

Good to know. Perhaps a note to that effect can be added to the answer here:

I just upgraded to 5.0.6 NE and the issue remains. Is there a known fix?

Thanks.
