Toaster doesn't pull up message in Ajax client

When toaster shows its pop up for a new message and you click on it with the HTML client set it will open to the message as expected. If you choose to have it open into the Ajax client it will not open the message, but instead just opens the mail inbox and shows all of the messages. Is there something I did wrong?

This is probably because on the standard client, you can define messages in the URL.

You can't do that in the AJAX client, only by app:
?app=mail or ?app=calendar
