New mail indicaton

Hi!

I'm wondering if there is anyway to achieve the same functionality as in Squirrelmail regarding new mail indication in ZCS. The two behaviours of Squirrelmail that I'm looking for are a pop-up when new mail arrives and that it display the number of new mail, instead of the number of unread mail.

Is there any way to get this without installing anything on the client?

Looks like there's already a request for a pop-up for new messages.
Bug 11162 - getting a pop-up for new mail would be a nice enhancement

Thanks.. "Opened: 2006-11-16 12:58 PST" does not give the impression that it's going to happen soon, but I gave it my vote anyway.
