Sorry DM, I don't think it's the perl issue. If it were, the server's wouldn't start.

Can we get your /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log?

Just noticed you wiped the system. Would have been helpful to get that mailbox.log. But oh well. It works

i had the same problem, it was not some server problems it is a client one.
If you try with another machine it is going to work.
i get this error when trying with the admin
************************************************** **********
* Call to xpconnect wrapped JSObject produced this error: *
[Exception... "'[JavaScript Error: "ZmLogin is not defined" {file:
"https://webmail.globant.com/?initMode=http" line: 64}]' when calling
method: [nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x80570021
(NS_ERROR_XPC_JAVASCRIPT_ERROR_WITH_DETAILS)" location: "<unknown>"
data: yes]
************************************************** **********

it is something with the xpconnect in the client compile.
Cheers

Default updated to 5

We upgraded to 5.0.1 GA and the problem magically went away. So much for it being a client side issue like I thought .

I agree. I tried it on several different client computers using IE6, IE7 and Firefox. This included clients which had never loaded the web client. When I upgraded the problem magically went away.

I am having a similar issue and am not able to resolve the problem. I am testing Zimbra (5.0.2) and everything works ok from my LAN. If I go to an outside system (accessing over the internet via NAT), it appears to be hit or miss. I get to the certificate warning, then if I hit to accept the certificate, it hangs. On a couple systems it works fine, but on others (including IE7, FF, and Windows Mobile 5 Treo) it's a no go.

I have tried the steps to clear the certificate on them, at least for FF. For IE7, it doesn't even show up in the list of certs.

Any ideas on getting this to work? I would really love to see the host/zimbra/m site in use on my phone, since mobile access is a must and we aren't ready to pay for Zimbra NE yet.

Default Blank Admin UI Screen

I just ran into the same issue. I was running 5.0.2 until tonight and was
planning on doing the upgrade to 5.0.6 tonight anyway. As I tried to log in to the Admin interface to run a backup before I did the update, I got the blank screen without a login. I figured that maybe upgrading would solve the issue. So, I ran the backup from command line instead, started the upgrade, which went fine (it seemed). I get mail fine. I can send mail fine. The normal Web client UI works as expected, but the Admin UI is still not working. Same blank screen. I've tried Firefox on a Mac, Safari on a Mac, IE on Win XP. I've cleared the cache ... and everything else. None of them can access the Admin UI.

It's really strange. I know I was in the Admin UI not too long ago without any problems at all.

These are the errors from Firebug:

Thanks in advance.

Hi mlanner,
it wasn't a zimbra problem, it was a bowser problem.
In that momento i was using a nigth build offirefox un freebsd, i just downgrade the version of firefox and all works fine. I think it was a javascript problem.
I hope this helps you
Thanks

Well, I don't think it's a browser issue in itself. I've tried it with 3 different browsers on two OSs. At this point I've narrowed it down to a firewall or VPN issue ... I think ...
