Default Order of messages in mail folders and conversations

Is there are way to configure the AJAX client to display messages in folders in reverse chronological order (newest on top), but display messages in conversations in chronological order (newest at bottom)?

I like being able to see new messages and conversations at the top of the message list, as that is what appears when you load a mail folder.

But I dislike having to read upwards in conversations, it's just backwards. Especially when using the preview pane.

Perhaps I've been spoiled by the GMail interface, as that's how it works in there.

Cheers,
Freddie

I agree, reading convs upward is a bit of a pain. It's like that, not surprisingly, because the msgs in the conv follow the same sort order as the list of convs.

There's one catch - we still want to show only the most recent page of msgs for the conv (though not a lot of convs have more than one page of msgs).

I filed an RFE:

Bug 23212 - Show msgs within a conv (in CLV) from old to new

Feel free to vote for it.

Voted. Here's hoping for some conversation updates in the future.
