    Default Enhancement Requests

    I just love Zimbra UI. I would like to propose a few enhancements.

    1. Add a display of 'Total Mails' in a folder. There is no way of knowing how many total mails are there in a folder without going to the last page. One possiblity is to add it right next to the page back and forward arrows that reads something like: "Showing 1 to 25 of total 532".

    2. New mail address added is not immediately available in the 'search-as-you-type' search when entering email address in To: or CC:. For example, I added Email2 for an existing contact and then returned to Mail, and clicked new. When I start typing this person's name, I still only see the original mail in the dropdown, not the newly added.

    3. Add 'Alphabet Links' on the contacts window to quickly locate a contact. I have literally hundreds of contacts and only way to find quickly what I want is by searching.

    4. Is there not a way to send mail to a lot of selected members from the contact list? For example, I added a new photo album and want to let most of my contacts know about it, is it not possible to already list all available contacts in the 'Select Addresses' box (the one that pops up by clicking 'To' button') and then I just add those I need?

    5. In the HTML compose mode, there is no way to add HTML links. For example google's gmail has HTML compose that has a 'chain' symbol that allows you to create hyperlinks in the mail body.

    Thanks for a great product.

    Yes we do some caching to make search-as-you-type or auto-complete fast. This refreshes if you logout/login.

    The idea is that you can actually find contact faster by searching that paging. Some of us have thousands of contacts and even having a page by letter would just bring up pages full of the same letter. Fast search is the only option when your dealing with lots of contacts.

    Search is your friend. If you've got lots of contacts just listing all 5,000 won't help you much.

    Feel free to submit an RFE for that into our bugzilla. I didn't see an exsisting one. http://bugzilla.zimbra.com

    Kevin...this is one of the things on our list as well. We recognize that any link with a http:// reference will automatically be hyperlinked.

    Essentially, I guess you can't do a <a href="X"> type reference. In some of our emailing where we could do so, we could put a reference to our company website tagged on our company name: Seventh Compass, Inc.. That would appear in most everyone's signature line and it saved an additional line of detail. Now, we have to add another line and let the reference be the link itself: http://www.7compass.com.

    So, now our outgoing emails have signature lines like:
    <name>
    <title>
    Seventh Compass, Inc.
    http://www.7compass.com
    <email addie>

    <phone #1>
    <phone #2>
    <fax #>

    It really isn't a trouble, but having a short, clean signature is more visually appealing.

    Course, that's just one example. Being able to use the old "click here for information" reference is pretty intuitive. As well, it would be nice for a citation.

    Really, in the long view of things, it would fall into the "nice-to-have" not "need-to-have" list, IMO.

    Hello Kevin,

    And other feature that would be nice would be to enable adding images in html emails.

    Some of my users are asking for this.

    From what I know, it does not seem to be possible for now but do you know if there is a work around?

    Thanx for this very fine product!

    Default Sync tags with Address Book groups

    Not sure if this is the right place for this or if it's in time for 5.0, but would love for tags to sync with Address Book groups.

    Feature requests go in bugzilla as RFEs, have a search there for any that apply or file (and vote) on any you enter. You could always look at the product roadmap and see what features will (likely) be implemented in upcoming versions.
