Default Calendar Time Increments

I have several users asking for the ability to create custom time intervals and/or start/stop times.

Is there a way I could currently hack a fix to allow 5 minute intervals instead of 30 minute intervals? Are there any plans to add this functionality?

No way to hack it today. Yes we are aware folks want more granular time slots. We plan to add this soon. We'll get to 15min first and then eventually have open time editing.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Let me know if you need some testbeds for it...

Actually, this was fixed last nite See bug #4540 - we now allow setting appointment times in 5 min. intervals. Ideally, we'd still like to be able for the user to edit their own time - in due time!

Default Update/Feature Request

I'm curious as to the definition of "due time". It's been quite a while since there's been any activity on this issue, and we've had users asking us about this.

We are a high school, and would like to schedule events in the school calendar based on our bell schedule, which is not based on 5-minute increments.

Any movement on this?

The calendar has the ability to set five minute intervals in the current version. It's not clear if you're looking for something more than that.

You can also set entirely arbitrary times using Zimbra Assistant ( ` shortcut) if you need that ability.

Sorry for being too vague. I would love to see the Appointment Details screen have editable time slots, rather than drop-down menus. We have a period that runs from 9:39am - 10:24am; I'd like to be able to reflect that accurately.

I was able to work around it using the Assistant; thanks for the tip. A persistent drawback is that the event I create this way still shows the drop-down menus, with the times rounded up or down, while events that were imported from an iCal calendar display the proper times.

A somewhat related issue in the calendar is that, once an event is created, is there an easy way to duplicate/copy & paste it to another date?

Ah, I only use it for quickly putting reminders directly on my calendar so I hadn't encountered the behavior when you go into Details...

There are several different requests in bugzilla that relate to improvements in the user interface for setting appointment times. Here's one for text entry that you might want to vote for if you haven't already.

Bug 20344 - Allow text entry of appointment times

Sorry to post on such an old field.

I see we can add in 5 Min intervals, how can we view in say 15 Minute intervals? i.e. a bit more detail to the standard day or week view broken into 15 Minutes not half hours?

I need to have this funtionality as well. The calander needs to have a view so that its larger for the 15/min blocks.

Is there a view that exists for this?
