Default 50 item Limit When Searching Contacts?

I have a user who has to deal with large groups of mail recipients. We've run into the following problems:

1. If she attempts to create a group to put the 300+ addresses together, it appears that only the first 50 contacts show up
2. If she attempts to compose a new message and does: tag:"Chinese Patrons" to pull up all 300 users tagged that way, she still only sees the first 50 contacts

Is there a way to search contacts and break the 50 contact barrier? Or is is possible to just type: tag:"Chinese Patrons" in the To: field itself and have a message go out to all contacts tagged "Chinese Patrons"?

Thanks,
Deck
