Issue with unread mail in subfolders

Hi,

I am using Zimbra 4.5.6 and have lots of mail filters that put mail into subfolders. My problem is that I can't tell that there is unread mail in the subfolders unless I expand the tree and look. Evolution and Thunderbird (from memory) mark the folders up the tree as unread to indicate there is mail that is unread in the subfolders. This would be a useful feature to include.

It is a feature in the next major release of Zimbra. You can check bugzilla and the Product Portal for feature requests and product status.

Looks like there are lots of improvements in the new versions. The Franklin release also fixes some other usability issues I have noticed.

Zimbra still does not bold the top folder containing subfolders with unread emails. Very nasty...

It would be nice to see total unread mail in all subfolders.
Now it's very annoying to expand all subfolders, by searching unread mail.

See if there are any RFEs in bugzilla and file one if you think it's important. You could also find your unread mail by using a search (the search function is a very useful tool ):

is:unread

That will show all the mail in any of the (sub)folders in your mail account.
