Default message stats in admin area

hi all,

i was just wondering if there is a way to get individual message stats? the current stats only display overall message counts. even if i could write a script or access the database that would be fine.

cheers, nick

Default message stats

What are you interested in seeing? We've talked about doing more here, but haven't prioritized it, partly because what people would want is a matter of great discussion... Some things we've thought of were most common domains (sender and recipient) largest amount of data, etc, etc.

Per user reports could be a bit unwieldy, though a tool to query that and generate them on the fly would probably be a good idea - I'll throw that on my stack of stuff to do.

To answer your question - check loggerdb.sql in /opt/zimbra/db (I think) for the schema. The individual message stuff is in there. For ideas, check out the message tracing tool (zmmsgtrace) which does a fair bit of querying on the message stats.

What would be cool is to have an option to turn stuff on for either users or domains. Possible?

But linking to MqSQL with a reporting tool might work too.

Default admin console interface to zmmsgtrace?

Has there been any discussion of a being able to invoke and get the
output from zmmsgtrace from the adminstrative console? We're
hosting ZCS in an ASP model and domain administrators would like
access to zmmsgtrace (i.e. they don't have command line access).
