Default E-mailing a single contact

I would like to be able to send a contact in an email. I would prefer it being sent as a vcard. I use the Zimbra Web Client in Ubuntu using Firfox. We are running the Network Edition 4.5.9.

Is there a way to copy the contact information and paste it into an e-mail or another program? Can I drag a contact into an e-mail?

At the moment there's no facility for doing what you want. I'd suggest you file an RFE in bugzilla with a complete description of what you want then raise a support case and ask them to attach the case to your RFE.

If you connect to your account via IMAP, you can browse/forward contacts as vCard. Obviously that's not ideal for normal end users, but it could work for you.

Another alternative is to move it to it's own address book, then in another browser window to go:
server.domain.com/home/~/addressbook.vcf
or if you want to download a bunch:
server.domain.com/home/~/addressbook.zip

Then send it as an attachment to an email.

You can construct in a variety of ways ie:
/user/~
/home/accountname
/zimbra/user/~/
/zimbra/home/~/
/zimbra/user/accountnamehere/
/zimbra/home/accountnameehere/
/service/home/~
-'user' & 'home', as well as 'service' & 'zimbra' are mostly interchangeable/often not needed
-You can also replace accountnames with ~ for simplicity

bugzilla vcard rfe's
