The easiest thing to do would be to create the new account, use Thunderbird to login to both account and drag'N'drop the messages from one account to the other. Contacts can be exported as a .csv file and imported into the new account, Calendar entries can be exported as a .ics file then imported the same way. Check the detail on this wiki page.

I'm having this same issue with open source version 5.0.11 in both FF and IE. The dates with appointments in the mini calendar do not become bold until I click on the Calendar tab. So after logging in, no matter the time duration, the dates do not become bold. It seems that the mini calendar does not get fully initialized until the Calendar tab is clicked.
