Always compose in new window, Firefox

Hello all,

Having issues composing new messages in Firefox v 2.0.0.7 on a MacBook...

When composing a new message, I'm unable to enter text into the body of the new message window. Cursor will not appear and text can't be typed out.

Tried clearing out preferences, cookies, cache, but still won't respond.

After turning off "Always compose in new window" in Options > Mail, composing new messages worked.

Any suggestions on what may be causing this?
