Calendar does not display in 5.0

I experience an odd symptom. I migrated from 4.5 to 5.0 using only a personal calendar.

The mini-calendar in the lower right hand corner shows my appointments bolded. However, int eh main calendar (right pane) nothing appears. I cannot call up details or even see whether I am scheduled.

What am I doing wrong?

Odd to post my reply myself but out of the blue the appointments start showing up again.
