Default Calendar accessibility

Hi all!

One of our main customers is interested in Zimbra and specially he is interested in calendar. On of their main requirements is accessibility, they need web client WAI-AA compliance. Is it possible to fulfil this requirement using zimbra?

- Is the ajax client WAI-AA compliant? Would it be possible to adapt it to this accessibility requirement?
- Is the basic HTML client WAI-AA compliant? Does it support calendar features?

In Zimbra web site, we have read:
"Using Zimbra Calendar over poor internet connections
When you are using a legacy browser or are on a slower connection Zimbra Collaboration Suite provides a low-bandwidth solution - the Zimbra Basic Mode. This is an HTML-only mode that reduces the amount of code sent down to the browser. It allows you to get to your calendar data quickly!"

However we cannot see calendar tab in basic HTML client. How could we activate it?

Thanks and est regards,

Sonia

Hello & welcome.

I must confess I have no idea about the WAI-AA compliance.

About your other question, the calendar is not yet available in the Basic HTML Client. It will be in Zimbra 5.0.

Klug, thanks for your reply.

WAI (Web Content Accessibility) guidelines to help people with disabilities access the web, can be found at:

btw-there's also going to be an inline day view:

that's the basic/standard/lite/html client but the same could happen for the advanced/ajax

I know about WAI (and more especially about the "French gov's own accessibility guidelines), not about Zimbra and WAI 8)
