Default if external DNS fails: internal mailing still possible?

Hello,

can inhouse ZSC-users still mail themselves, if in an environment with
an external DNS-Server (DynDNS), DomainNameServices fails?

Thank's for your feedback!

John

No, you need a DNS server with A & MX records so postfix can find the server - without it mail delivery will fail. If you have your server behind a NAT router or firewall you will need a local DNS server.
